When You Are In The Supermarket

  When you are in the store, you are like a machine constantly comparing and calculating prices. Just because you have a coupon does not mean it's the right decision to make. Yes, I'm an advocate of coupons but sometimes it's not the right decision. I will give you an example, I had a coupon for Kleenex it was for a lousy 30 cents and they expected me to buy three boxes in order to use it clearly that was a lousy deal. So sometimes I put the coupon away and buy the store brand.

     I do enjoy name brand products I have often said, perhaps we are all being scammed. But i hope not if anything coupons give  you the opportunity to buy the best brands at store brand prices. I'm the first one to say it perhaps they are the same manufacturer Bayer might make all of Wallgreens aspirin if I ever find out I will tell you. Or maybe some of you already know this great mystery.  I bought some Girger ales today big bottles, they were going for a dollar I could not resist. I was going for the coke, but they were so expensive, almost two dollars more than another place I saw it.

    That is something that has to be in your mind. What price is someone else charging or else you can throw all, these coupons out the window, because stores are nickel and dime us to death and the coupon will only level the field.  If you know the lowest price in the right store, you will have done it right and gotten the biggest discount and that can only be calculated in percentage point not dollars if you ever been exposed to any kind of business dealing you already know that percentage is the only way to gage a true discount.

   I ought 200 dollars worth of groceries today I was not that well prepared I was under the weather what can I tell you the coupon king did not score a hit run.  Maybe 20%,  but I also did some good shopping, making sure I watched what I bought and for the right prices.

    I walked out with some Lamb chops that had a $4 dollar peel off manager coupon on it, I will cook those tonight any meat on sale should not be frozen. I'm not squeamish with things like that, but  some people are.

   I did my little number with the Oreo cookies again buy three packages get a gallon of milk for free.  I'm going to need to buy some ink cartridges soon no problem I will go to deals on this page and find inkjet ink and get it for a big discount I'm becoming my best follower.   I could go on and on but I won't.
